WMA performed the MEP design work for the renovation of the iconic Pump Room restaurant located in the historic former Ambassador East Hotel. Included in the design work was a due diligence evaluation of the current MEP systems as well as a complete refurbishment of the MEP systems for the common areas of the hotel. Renovation work included two commercial kitchens, dining areas, lounges, lobby areas, offices and conference rooms. New air handling equipment was provided on a low roof area and within existing ceiling spaces. Existing chilled water and steam systems were utilized to serve new equipment after the plant was reviewed for available capacity. Plumbing, fire protection and electrical systems were refurbished as required to accommodate the renovations.
