The project consists of a new 60,000 square feet Chicago Public Charter School. This school is being built on an approximately 7 acre site near Cicero and 47th street, in Chicago. The current program is to include a K through 8th grade school for 450 students, an early childhood center for 100 students, a Community Center/Kitchen and an Urban Farm. The site will also have Health and Fitness spaces.
It is the Owners intent to go beyond LEED Platinum certification and use the Living Building Challenge as its guide. The facility is planned to be a net-positive energy and a net-zero waste campus.
